Open position

Cold Caller / Appointment Setter – Surplus Recovery

Remote · Part-Time · Performance-Based Compensation

Your primary responsibility will be contacting VVR-provided leads, starting professional conversations, identifying potential interest, and scheduling qualified prospects for appointments.

This is not a high-pressure telemarketing position. We use a conversational, question-based approach focused on listening, understanding the person’s situation, and determining whether VVR may be able to help.

What you'll do

Connect → Ask Questions → Qualify → Schedule

  • Make outbound calls to leads provided by VVR.
  • Contact former property owners, potential claimants, heirs, relatives, and other prospective contacts.
  • Follow VVR calling scripts and conversation frameworks without sounding robotic.
  • Clearly and professionally explain the reason for the call.
  • Ask questions to understand the prospect’s situation, awareness, and interest.
  • Identify qualified prospects and schedule appointments with VVR.
  • Leave approved voicemail messages and complete follow-up calls when appropriate.
  • Accurately document conversations, notes, follow-ups, and outcomes in the CRM.
  • Properly categorize wrong numbers, deceased contacts, relatives, represented claimants, uninterested prospects, and other outcomes.
  • Immediately honor and document Do Not Call requests.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling prospect information.

VVR handles the case after a qualified prospect progresses to the next stage.

Our approach

Real conversations, not pressure.

We are looking for someone who can listen, ask appropriate follow-up questions, understand a concern, and decide whether continuing the conversation makes sense.

You may regularly hear:

  • “I’m not interested.”
  • “How did you get my information?”
  • “What is this about?”
  • “Is this a scam?”
  • “I already know about the money.”
  • “I’ll take care of it myself.”
  • “Someone else already contacted me.”
  • “Call me another time.”

Your job is not to argue. You will be trained to remain calm, clarify the person’s concern, and respond professionally.

Quality over quantity

Real opportunities matter more than a full calendar.

We do not want appointments with people who have little interest or are not qualified simply to increase appointment counts.
